Community Improvement Districts (“CID’s”) serve business communities in much of the same way as homeowners’ associations serve neighborhoods.  Members of the district are able to identify and prioritize the area’s needs, and then collect funding to address those needs.  The net result is an improved climate for existing businesses and an enhanced environment for future economic development.

Westport was founded by people willing to take a chance- hard-working entrepreneurs who were looking for adventure and fortune. 150 years later, that spirit is still strong.

Covering approximately two miles, Westport is located in the heart of Kansas City between downtown and the Country Club Plaza.
